Luis Eduardo Villegas López

The son of José Villegas and Rosa López, he was born in the municipality of Guatapé Antioquia on the sidewalk of Culebra, on June 13, 1917. As a child he and his family always participate in the Eucharist every Sunday in the village church.

His first years of life as a young adult, I dedicate them to agriculture, a job that he carried out for 20 years. Later he changed his profession to a master of work and it was then that he met María Magdalena Hincapié Aguirre, who later was his wife and with her formed a family of 5 sons and 3 women. María Magdalena Hincapié Aguirre was born on December 21, 1913 in the municipality of Peñol Antioquia. Luis Eduardo was a person of a quiet, jovial and laughing nature. He was never noticed as a temper, one of his passions was to make new friends and people mostly sought his company. He was greatly admired for his humility and humanity, a dreamy, self-taught person who was illustrated over time and one of his passions was writing verses and phrases in the wind. After climbing the stone in 1954, he became known as Colombia's largest mountaineer.
